If it’s your first booking for shipping to an Amazon fulfilment centre and you are unsure about Amazon's pallet requirements or packing guidelines, the details provided below could be beneficial. Proper packaging not only safeguards items during transit but also helps prevent potential delays. It's important to note that Amazon may reject shipments that don't adhere to their packing criteria.
Begin by focusing on the pallet base. Shipments to UK-based Amazon warehouses require pallets that adhere to the standard four-way access pallet dimensions (120cm x 100cm). European Amazon warehouses require pallets measuring 80cm x 120cm with four-way access capability.
Use a new, robust pallet base, ensuring it remains intact without any breaks or damages that might compromise its structural integrity. Adherence to ISPM 15 standards is mandatory, necessitating proper heat treatment for the pallets. The pallet height should not exceed 1.7 meters (170cm), and their weight should not surpass 1000 kg. Each carton within the pallet should not exceed an individual weight of 30kg.
It's crucial to securely wrap each pallet in transparent plastic wrapping. Amazon may reject pallets wrapped in black or coloured shrink wrap. Attach Amazon labels to the pallets, which are provided in your online Amazon FBA account. Ensure that the contents of the pallet do not extend beyond the pallet boundaries.
